Decorating

Here are Dave and Tim getting the tree from the truck and trimming it up. You gotta love Dave's "mountain hat"!

And here the guys are hauling the tree inside.

This is Tim's preferred mode of helping with decorating.

It's a good thing Nikki and Marilyn were serious abut getting things done!

And here is our completed tree. I love the lights, the family memories represented by so many of the ornaments, and the promise of family time, not just here, but here after!

It's adorable! We've had really BIG fluffy trees the last several years since we have a sloped ceiling in our great room, but since we'll be away for Christmas this year I've talked the others into at least a much-reduced-size tree. :-)

What a beautifully lighted tree. Jesus, the Light of the world.
As a child I lived on a farm in PA.
Each year my Mom and Dad would go out on the hill on the farm and cut down a tree. All the 8 kids stayed home excitedly anticipating their return. I remember one year when the tree was so tall and big around that we'd have had to cut a hole in the ceiling to stand it up. Needless to say, my Dad wasn't happy about going back out to cut another one down. We donated the big one to the church.
