A house finch family

This is one of three hanging baskets on my back porch. For years I have waged war with the house finches who wanted to pull out the flowers to make room for their nests, and run to the door to scare them away whenever I would hear their song reverberating on the porch. This year, I decided not to fight. I decided they could do whatever they wanted, and that we would enjoy their song. Here is what they have done:
