Your Christmas past posts have been a lot of fun. We've been reading Dickens A Christmas Carol and your series of posts has me thinking how different one would view the Ghost of Christmas Past if one had no photographs of one's past at all. My children love to study the photos of their past and it really shapes their memories and their perception of their lives. How would that be different without photographs? Was the Ghost of Christmas Past a more powerful idea for readers in a world that was only just beginning to have photography?
