God is our refuge and strength, an everpresent help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear, though the earth give way, and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea; though its waters roar and foam, andthe mountains shake with their surging. There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the most high dwells. God is in the midst of her; she will not be moved. God will help her at break of day. These are words of comfort when you've had one of those days when the worst in your character seems on display for all to see. At such times, remembering that Jesus died for this exact sinful proclivity in me, and that I live, not based on my work or merits, but on His, can make all the difference. Repentance can actually bring freshness when God is your refuge and strength. And for that, I am very grateful!
